1966 BSA A65 Hornet in Lincoln Heights, CA

This original first-year BSA Hornet is an astonishing find. It was specially ordered with dealer-installed lighting system for the road. The dealer put a Bates headlight and bracket on the bike with Bates taillight and a speedo for road-legality. The bike has been in storage for more than decade and was liberated and sympathetically restored. It was treated to fresh paint on the tank and side panels, new exhaust pipes, and seat cover. Then a mechanical overhaul was undertaken by a local marque specialist. The engine was pulled apart and inspected and all ancilliaries were freshened as needed, including a fresh clutch, carb rebuild, and overhaul of the electrical system. The bike runs great! The engine is in fine tune and runs well with good responsive power. Brakes and suspension work well and the bike is a blast to ride.
